A great night was had at our Craobh Rua 
ag Athghabháil / Regaining Hurling Blitz, celebrating our heritage, our identity and, most importantly, the wealth of hurling talent now thriving in our area.
The evening began with a fascinating look at the Ard Mhacha crest and the stories it represents — Leabhar Ard Mhacha / The Book of Armagh, Naomh Pádraig / St Patrick,  Úllghoirt / Orchards, and our historic connection with the Ó Néills. It was a great opportunity to connect the hurling we play today with the rich history and culture of our county.
Central to the evening were the small-sided hurling games taking place throughout the field. The skill, enthusiasm and sheer number of players involved demonstrated just how much hurling talent we can now boast in this area — a very positive sign for the future of the club and the wider community.

We rounded off the night with the Ball Roll down the hill, which proved a tremendous success. It was great fun and a novel way to finish the evening, while also raising much-needed funds for the club.

Buíochas mór le Caifé Aoidh for their invaluable input on placenames; to our coaching team, led by Fiachra Bradley, along with Fionn Elshaw; to our young Inspire volunteers who did a brilliant job refereeing all the games; and, of course, to our hard-working Fundraising Committee who organised the Ball Roll.
