Sean Byrne Memorial Tournament
What a fantastic day of hurling at the pitch today as we gathered to remember one of our own — Seán Byrne. Though the conditions were tough, every player gave it their all, putting on a brilliant display that Seán himself would have loved.
Craobh Rua were honoured to host this special tournament in Seán’s memory — a day that reflects the spirit, camaraderie, and passion he brought to our club from the very beginning.
Despite the rain, the enthusiasm on and off the pitch was a fitting tribute to Seán — a man who helped build the foundation of who we are today.
A special word of thanks to Shane Byrne, former player and Seán’s son, who presented today’s trophies and medals — a lovely touch that made the day even more meaningful for everyone involved.
Thank you to all of the clubs who took part Craobh Rua, Derrynoose, North Armagh, Carryduff, and Newry Shamrocks.

Go raibh maith agaibh to everyone who took part, supported, and helped make this day one worthy of his memory.
