We were delighted to attend the Communities Leading Change Celebration Event at Killeavy Castle Estate this evening with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
A huge thank you for the support we received through this project, which enabled us to deliver 10 weeks of men’s and women’s gym sessions in our club gym. Across 20 sessions, an average of 15 people attended each week, helping participants aged 18–60 get back into fitness, build routines, improve wellbeing and enjoy the challenge together.
It was fantastic to see the positive impact the programme had on everyone involved, with many participants continuing on together afterwards.
Our Chairperson Nicola, Secretary Paula and PRO Ciara were proud to represent the club on the night. It was lovely to meet so many inspiring community groups from across South Armagh, hear about the incredible work being done in local communities, and take away plenty of inspiration for the future.
