🥾⛰️ Congratulations to our eight Sports Inspire volunteers who recently completed their Bronze section of the Ulster GAA President's Award (DofE) practice expedition.

Day 1 saw the team hike through Tollymore Forest, putting their map reading and navigation skills to the test before cooling off with a swim in the rock pools. 
Then it was back to camp, where the lads put their cooking skills to the test by preparing their own dinner as a team. With a few well-earned steaks on the menu, it's safe to say nobody went hungry! 🥩

Day 2 brought an even tougher challenge as the group climbed Meelmore in the Mourne Mountains, tackling heavy fog, rough terrain and testing conditions. Their teamwork, resilience and determination were outstanding throughout.

Representing Craobh Rua were Filip, Cian, John, Jack, Dillion, Thomas, Tiernan and Kaélin.
Everyone at Craobh Rua is incredibly proud of these young volunteers. They generously give up their time to help with our underage coaching sessions and club activities, and it is fantastic to see them challenging themselves, developing new skills and representing our club so well.

A huge thank you to Sharon and all the leaders from Ulster GAA for their support, encouragement and guidance throughout the expedition.
