Craobh Rua U16 hurlers made the journey to Cookstown on Monday evening for Round 4 of the U16 Ulster/Louth Táin Óg League, where they faced two tough opponents in a competitive double-header.
The Camlough lads opened the evening against Tir na nÓg, producing a determined defensive display to claim a hard-earned 0-9 to 1-4 victory. Strong work throughout the field and some accurate point-taking ensured Craobh Rua came away with a deserved win in a closely contested encounter.
With little time to recover, the team were back in action against Fionnbarra Naofa. Despite the quick turnaround, the boys produced another excellent performance, showing great character, teamwork and work rate to secure a 3-6 to 1-3 victory, completing a perfect evening with two wins from two.
It was a fantastic night's work from the entire panel, with every player contributing to two disciplined and spirited performances. Great start to the Táin Óg League.
