Our U16 hurlers made the journey to Dublin this evening for a fantastic challenge against O'Tooles.
O’Tooles came out on top on the night and were outstanding, particularly in the first half. The unreal skills, control and displays of hurling from their young players were a real credit to the team, their coaches, their club and their parents. 👏
Our own boys showed great character to come out much stronger in the second half, with some excellent passages of play and a much-improved display of hurling. These are the games and experiences that will help our players develop.
A huge thank you to everyone at O’Tooles for the incredible hospitality. You went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome, and the tea and refreshments afterwards were very much appreciated. It’s evenings like this that showcase what the GAA is all about — great hurling, friendship and hospitality. 👏
A special thank you to the referee too for a great game and for the fantastic words of encouragement to our lads afterwards. Those words mean a lot to young players and were very much appreciated.
A special mention to Cian Watson for helping make this evening happen and for arranging such a great experience for our U16s. It was very much appreciated by everyone at Craobh Rua.
