It wasn’t the result we were hoping for, but what a game of hurling from our Craobh Rua U14s as they battled right to the very end in the Championship Shield against a very deserving Craobh Ciarán team. 

After a long and demanding season, and with a number of injuries going into today’s game, the lads showed incredible character. Those who took to the pitch stepped up, lifted the pace and gave absolutely everything from the first whistle to the last. 💪

There were some fantastic passages of hurling, great skill, determination and never-say-die spirit on display. Most importantly, the lads showed exactly what it means to wear the Craobh Rua jersey — together, committed and fighting for every ball. 🔴⚪️

While today’s result may not have gone our way, the management team couldn’t be prouder of the effort shown on the pitch and, even more importantly, of the commitment, dedication and attitude these players have shown throughout the entire year.

To our U14 players — hold your heads high.  You have given your club, your coaches and your families plenty to be proud of.

A huge thank you to Craobh Ciarán for a competitive and sporting game, and congratulations to them on the result. 

And to our brilliant parents, families and supporters — thank you for being there all season, through every training session, challenge and match. Your support means so much. 

The scoreboard might not have gone our way today, but the heart, effort and pride shown by these young Rua players certainly did. 🔴⚪️
